Art. Life.

Parkour is more of an art than a sport, an expression of one's self through movement. In ways, it's a form of dancing, but instead of staying in a small area, the world around you is your dance floor. And as long as one is fit, anyone can parkour with the will and patience to do so, because parkour takes a lot of practice..

Joplin Sucks

Joplin MO has to be one of the worst places on the planet for parkour. Downtown blows and the college is a joke. Not a great place for being creative. The parks suck as well.. Just sayin'

Difference between Freerunning and Parkour

In a nut shell, Parkour is getting from point A to B as quickly as possible going over, under, through any obstacle in your path. Freerunning is adding streetgymnastics and streetacrobatics to parkour. If you're in the mood for some reading, you can get the whole story Here

Best shoes for parkour

When it comes to the subject of shoes for parkour, you will find many personal opinions, as there really isn't a "best shoe" for this activity, just the best shoe for you. There is however, a category of shoe which work best, trainers. I have a friend that prefers skate shoes because of their grip, but because they allow little to no free movement of the foot, I wouldn't recommend them (unless you're down for a rolled ankle). Parkourshoeshq.com posted "the top 10" parkour shoes on their site, I trust their judgment of shoes, as they test the crap out of them. You can see them Here. I personally have the Nike Free run 2.0 amazing comfort and good grip (new), but they die quickly, I'd say they're a good shoe if you are just starting out.
